We appreciate the decision of the mandate holder, Spajić, to postpone the population census, which respects the views of minority representatives. We consider this a responsible step that can lead to constructive dialogue and political stability.

Montenegro needs unity on strategic issues that are of interest to its citizens. We expect an appropriate response from all parties to create the conditions for building trust, allowing citizens’ free expression in the census without obstruction. This is necessary for adopting numerous strategies in Montenegro, particularly those important for the EU integration process.
