We are addressing you this way in order to divert attention on the misuse of public functions and resources in electoral purposes, and to invite you to undertake adequate activities, in accordance with your competencies, to prevent such situation. Therefore, Civic Alliance (CA) invites you to initiate amending of Law on election of councilors and MPs and Law on financing political parties. Primarily, in order to act preventively and therefore enable sanctioning of violation of these two laws. According to the current legislation framework, Montenegro has competent institution Public Electoral Commission which takes care on unique implementation of these laws but is limited in its competencies, which the Commission formally said in its response.
