Ružica Božović was born in Podgorica, where she completed basic and specialist studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Montenegro. She graduated from the Criminal Law Department with a grade of 10 on thesis of Human Trafficking.

Her first work engagement began in 2018 at the Directorate for Foreigners as part of a nine-month professional training program. During her studies, she worked in the Montenegro Volleyball Federation as a Technical secretary, where she participated in the organization of various national and international competitions under the auspices of FIVB and CEV. As a Compliance Officer (person for monitoring compliance with the Law) and legal assistant, she was engaged from 2020 to the beginning of 2022 at the Investment Company “Limit Prime Securities” AD Podgorica, where she worked on monitoring the compliance of the Company’s operations with the applicable rules and regulations of the Capital Market Authority of Montenegro, the Law on the Capital Market, the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism. Since December 2023, she has been employed in Civic Alliance as a legal advisor, as part of the UNHCR project “Provision of legal aid to asylum seekers, refugees and persons at risk of statelessness in MNE “.

In addition to her legal career, she also has a great passion for learning foreign languages, of which she is fluent in English. Also she has an A1 diploma of Turkish language (certificate from the Yunus Emre Institute) as well as A1 level of Greek language (diploma of Philological Faculty of Thessaloniki).
