As part of the project “Platform for the Realization of Gender Equality” supported by the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, a meeting was held today on the occasion of the establishment of a Women’s Councillors Club in the Municipal Assembly in Bijelo Polje. The session was attended by nine members of the local parliament of Bijelo Polje, two of whom are members of the Parliament of Montenegro, Vesna Pavićević and Suada Zoronjić.
The discussion was opened by Pavle Ćupić, Project Coordinator, followed by presentations by Vesna Pavićević and Suada Zoronjić.
The participants exchanged numerous constructive ideas on how to increase efforts in establishing gender equality through various sectors of society in Montenegro. The present councillors showed their interest in the formation of a Women’s Councillors Club, and they will implement the activities necessary for the improvement of gender equality in Montenegro.
