During the last meeting, representatives of Governments and nongovernmental organizations from six countries in the region worked on finalization of documents that will be sent to the Governments of the countries in the region, from which they had received mandate for work; with the proposal of Agreement on establishing of this international organization.
Working group worked on preparation of documents that will define the mission, vision, activities of this future organization and the manner of financing. Mandate of WG for development of the Regional Office finishes on 1 March, when all documents will be finalized. After 01 March, continuation of mutual coordination and communication of governments towards final agreement is expected, and official signing at the following conference on Western Balkan, which will take place this year in Paris. During three days’ work of the WG, number of info sessions and meetings were organized, where all key interested groups and wide public were informed about the process and on what could be expected until the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.
Panel “Initiatives for Western Balkan Youth” was organized by the embassy of France and Germany, with the support of Gete Institute, where the panelist Edin Koljenovic, Program Coordinator in Civic Alliance and the member of Working Group, presented previous process and challenges of supporting mobility and regional cooperation of youth.
