Milos Mitric

Legal Advisor

Miloš Mitrić was born in Nikšić. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law in Podgorica with an average grade 8.07, and his specialist degree with an average grade 9.70, majoring in criminal law. At the Faculty of Law, he held the position of student representative for four years, and was also a member of the Academic and Teaching Council, and one of the members of the Study Quality Control Commission. He passed the exam for trainees in courts and the state prosecutor’s office with 75 out of a possible 80 points.

He is one of the founders of the student organization AEGEE Podgorica, which aims to encourage youth mobility and active participation in the local community in the field of higher education, cultural exchange and human rights. He volunteered at ADP Zid and was a participant in a couple of volunteer actions. He attended the “Coca-Cola youth support” training and upon completion of the training received a certificate issued by the Coca-Cola company, which confirms that Miloš has successfully mastered the following skills: professional orientation, successful communication, and business administration.

He started working as a trainee lawyer with attorney Dragan Mitrić. After that, he spent three years in the Basic Court in Nikšić as a trainee judge, and his main duties were drafting decisions from the civil and criminal proceedings. After that, he worked as the secretary at the Elementary School “Savo Pejanović” in Podgorica, on tasks that included personnel issues, records, statistics, and other administrative tasks.

Since January 2022, he has been engaged in the Civic Alliance as a legal advisor, as part of the UNHCR project entitled “Providing free legal aid to asylum seekers, refugees and persons at risk of statelessness in Montenegro”. He is one of the authors of the report entitled “Protection from abuse in Montenegro”.

He is married to Bojana, with whom he has daughter Sara.
