Kamal Mouhsen

Interpreter

Kamal Mouhsen was born in Bijelo Polje. He finished primary and secondary school in Aleppo, Arab Republic of Syria, and graduated with basic studies in the field of business English and specialist studies in the field of English language and literature at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Mediterranean University in Podgorica, Montenegro, in 2013 and 2014, respectively. years.

After several short work experiences both in Montenegro and in Sweden, his language skills of Montenegrin, Arabic and English, as well as his knowledge of the culture, politics and economy of both the Western Balkans and the Middle East region, recommend him for work engagement in the United Arab Emirates . During his four-year work in the Emirates, from 2018 to 2022, he worked for the first three and a half years at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Abu Dhabi, while for the last six months he contributed to the presentation of the Montenegro Pavilion at the world-renowned Expo 2020 exhibition in Dubai.

In the meantime, after passing the exam at the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights of Montenegro, he was appointed as an interpreter for the Arabic and Montenegrin languages in 2021. Since then, he has been continuously engaged as a translator, first in the United Arab Emirates, and then after his return in Montenegro, starting from the state, then non-governmental to the private sector.

In 2023, he joined the non-governmental foundation “Civil Alliance” as an Arabic translator for the UNHCR project entitled “Providing free legal aid to asylum seekers, refugees and persons at risk of statelessness in Montenegro”.

He is married to Jenana, with whom he has a daughter, Muna.
